CoCo Ree Lemery is a creative force and a curious creator based in Chicago.  A former Design Director turned academic, CoCo has designed best-selling products sold worldwide at renowned retailers including Pottery Barn, Neiman Marcus, Jonathan Adler, and Williams Sonoma. Her work has earned widespread acclaim, with prestigious accolades such as the NYCxDesign Awards, A’ Design Awards, European Product Design Awards, International Furniture Design Association Awards, WIL Awards, and Pinnacle Awards.

With a flexible style rooted in place and an obsession with the objects that surround us, CoCo maintains a very active studio practice that challenges the notions of planned obsolescence, information, and function. CoCo’s handcrafted work is executed through Studio Kloak, a maker space and incubator dedicated to sustainable function, community, and equitable craft. For this work, she was honored as Best Independent Designer of the Year by Interior Design magazine.

Currently, CoCo is the Visiting Professor of Industrial Design at Purdue University. CoCo teaches extensively throughout the United States, leading workshops and classes at institutions such as the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIUC), Hope College, North Central College, After School Matters, Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), and UChicago.
